The Beginning: Why moving to Ireland?
Why would move somebody more than 10 years ago to Ireland? Most of the Irish were still leaving the country to work in the US, England and Australia.
It surely couldn't be the money either, because I earned only a third in Ireland compared to a similar job on the mainland (e.g. Germany).
However, learning English and the relaxed atmosphere was reason enough for me to take a chance. Off I went, packed my bags and settled into Cork.
With this blog I will describe my experience with this adventure and the challenges I had. Please let me know in your comments what areas you are especially interested in.
